The Undaunted by Gerald N. LundMy rating: 5 of 5 stars
I thought this book was really good. It was a historical event that I didn't even know took place. I stayed up WAY too late reading it (I think I started Saturday and finished Monday late afternoon) so I am a bit tired to write a decent review. But I can say that the book has inspired me to have more 'stickity tooty' in my own modern day life. And to have a better attitude. And to just do more. The way they lived their lives has inspired me. I was very touched (read: I cried) by two of their experiences, well really it was the whole thing, but those two I will always remember. They amaze me. I read Lunds Work and The Glory series a couple times in middle/high school and while I loved them, this affected me differently. Probably because I am in a totally different stage of life. Well, here I am rambling so I will stop and just say that I enjoyed this book and I would recommend it.

Nice idea...I am always struggling between my blog and goodreads. I've heard good things about this book. Your recommendation is making it on step closer to being on my too read list.
Thanks for the book idea Mandy, I am in a book club and I think I will use this book for the next time I host.
This is a book I've been planning to read, maybe I'll find the time to get to it now! Oh and yes we're planning on trying to make it to the family reunion still! :)
Holla for Goodreads. Lol Great... thanks for adding another book to my ever-growing must-read list! We need to get together again soon. I have things to talk to you about!
Hey! That book is about France's family. Jens Nielson is our great great grandpa whom France's older brother is named after. Crazy huh? It was a great book, I listened to it on tape driving allover Virginia so it took a while :)
