Yawwwwwnn

I think I might be waking up from a nice long blogging nap. I've been contemplating it for awhile and decided I might give it a go again. We'll see how it goes.

I have realized that one thing holding me back from posting is feeling the need to have pictures every time. So I am going to leave that expectation behind me and if you get a picture, feel lucky. I do LOVE posting them, but I will still post if I don't have time to upload them (for some reason that's a stretch for me to do).

I also have had a hard time deciding the direction I would like to take this blog. Journal, family scrapbook, to keep those far away updated and so many more ideas. I have not decided on where I want to go. It will probably be quite random until I decide. So I guess for now it is a 'whatever random thing I am thinking about at the moment' blog.

Right now I am thinking about the Olympics because I just watched the closing ceremonies. I have decided that I really really really like to watch the sports. I got quite into this time and enjoyed myself. I love getting myself invested in the players and my heart pounding as they are about to start. I love the anticipation of what's going to happen. My heart hurts when someone falls or makes a mistake. And I tear up when someone I get attached to wins or has some other touching moment. All in all, it is the Olympics. But this last week has been a little rough (Jack sick and Kev gone) so I feel like I have missed a lot. Therefore the watching the closing tonight was a little bittersweet to me. Bitter because I missed some events I was looking forward to, and Sweet because I can finally go to bed at a decent hour.

Oh and in case you were wondering what I thought of the closing ceremony itself, well.....there were parts that were ok and parts that were painful to watch for me. What did you think? (NO, I am not trying to become one of the major blogs that gets a lot of comments, I just want to know what the people that I don't talk to all that often really do think. That is if anyone reads this...)

I would answer your original question and tell you what I thought about the closing ceremonies. But I didn't watch them. Or any other part of the olympics. Sad right? We don't have TV and NBC's internet video program won't work on anything but a brand new mac. That was a mad day when I realized that.

And I always have trouble deciding the direction my blog is heading. And I'm going for random. Updates when there are some. Pictures when I take them. Thoughts when I feel like sharing. Maybe that way you get an all around me? We will see if anyone can tolerate it :)

Good to hear from you!

YAY! You updated! Glad you're still alive :) Can't wait for the lucky day we get a picture update post =)

Olympics... I feel bad saying this, but I'm kinda mad at them. Because of the Olympics, Biggest Loser has been canceled for 3 weeks! Grrrrrrr... but I did watch a few ice skating performances, and I know whatcha mean about feeling really bad for them when they mess up. Cuz ya know they've done it perfectly hundreds of times in practice, and worked hard for years....
I liked watchinh Torah Bright just cuz she's LDS and a good rep for the church.

I'm glad you're back to blogging! I've missed hearing from you. While the pics are wonderful, I most love reading about people's thoughts. Keep em coming!

As for the Olympics, I didn't watch them at all. Or, everytime I turn on my TV, it's always Curling, and I think that's boring. I am more of a Summer Olympics gal!

I didn't watch any of the Olympics this year (which is unusual for me). I'll try a little harder in 2 years.
