Just as a warning...
If my son does not start falling asleep in his 'big bed' soon...
I may have a nervous break down.
Seriously.
It's been a month. No improvement.
Anyone recommend any books, techniques, any thing?
Laying with him doesn't work 99% of the time.
Continuing to put him in bed everytime he gets up doesn't work.
Taking everything out of his room doesn't work.
Rewards don't work.
I'm out of ideas and out of my mind.
Help.
Warning: I may lose my mind.

Hang on to your mind, you need it. Does he get out to play, to find you? To cry?
Haven't you ever heard that Grandma and Grandpa had to make a "lid" for the crib and lock it, for Uncle Steve? Now you know why. :) I would just strip his room of toys and things he can get into, get a light switch lock, and then lock the door from the outside. He will go to sleep eventually...esp when it gets dark (I always put dark curtains in the room too.). Also, maybe put him to bed earlier since he is wasting so much sleep time. I'm probably mean, but my kids are good sleepers :)
hahaha I recommend a chocolate extreme blizzard...this will do nothing to help him sleep...but you might feel better :)
I finally had to put a lock on Amelia's door when she was that age. She did scream and kick the door, and it was miserable for everyone for about 2 days. Phil thought I was nuts and horrible. Then she figured out that bed time was bed time no matter what and she gave it up. A swivel door handle on his side should do the trick if you don't have a way to lock it from the outside. Good luck, Mama. Sleep training sucks.
I say get the crib back...or bring him to Nana's house, he begs to go night-night :)
Lock him in. The End. I miss you!
yeah, Cruise slept awesome until...the big boy bed. it's been over a year and finally we broke down and now we give him melatonin. that's the best i've got.
