Kevin's Blog (by Amanda)

So I started this blog and haven't done much with it. Sorry guys! To be honest part of the reason is that I can't find my stupid cord to download my pictures onto the computer, and who wants a post without a picture?! Well, this will be one of those because apparently it's been too long without one. I was going to talk Kevin into writing a post, but he's a little busy, so I will do it for him.

Name: Kevin
Birthday: July 2

Education: Going to BYU currently working on Marriage, Family and Human Development Major. Will graduate either this coming April or at least some time next year. I am working on final projects and papers for this semester and it bites. For my Humanities class my final project options were to a) Write a Gregorian chant in LATIN b) Write a Homeric Epic in the same style, format and all that stuff as Homer write (way to involved) or c) Create a Mosaic or Stained Glass piece that fits the same style and period. So I chose the mosaic, and she is REALLY picky- it has to be done essentially the same as they used to do them (except it doesn't have to be clay or whatever). So my process was to watercolor paper to get the colors needed, cut them up into a bazillion little squares, and paste them ONE BY ONE onto the cardboard. Well so far I have worked about 10 hours on this stupid thing and it's only half way done. Finals bite.

Occupation: Own a Pest Control Company- Spider Spray. YEAH! This is one of the newest things going on with me/us. We recently (end of September) made a huge life decision and decided to try my hand in owning my own business (which I have always wanted to do). The company has been around for about 4-5 years and is a local company. The company has done well so far and is bursting at its seams to grow- which I am ALL about. I have lots of plans to blow this company out of the water and I am SOOOO excited about it. If you ever want to get my talking- just ask me how it's going and my plans for the future.

Between school and work- I have no life. I am so incredibly busy that I can hardly even think straight, but school is near it's end and I am so pumped about this business that it's all good.

Random Thoughts: Well, most of my thoughts lately have been about the business but I will try to think of some other things for a minute. Let's see, I love my dog. I love to play and wrestle with him and I love that he gets so excited to see me everyday and that he just always wants to be near me. I love him so much that I don't just 'let' him sleep with me, I want him to. Lately Mandi has been trying to get him to sleep on his own bed so that he doesn't cramp her space, but I let him come and sleep down in between my legs. I love my fish tank. A lot. I am a man of MANY hobbies. You don't ever have to worry about buying me a present because there is always something that I want. I like gifts to be something that you (I) like rather than what you (I) need, because it's more fun and you will probably buy the things that you need yourself, but not the things that you want. (Although there are some things that you need that you enjoy to get.) I LOVE music, but I am selective. I got a grill and love BBQ. I am excited to have a real birthday and 4th of July this year (just a summer is going to be great). I love four-wheeling, snowmobiling and LOVE snowboarding! I have only been snowboarding for 2 years and I rock the house. I am the most patient and even tempered guy you will EVER meet. I try really hard to be sensitive to others' feelings because I am sensitive myself. I love my Wii. I like Costco ready to eat food because it's quick and easy and yummy. I do a superb job of taking care of my family and they are of the utmost importance to me. Family (both immediate and extended) are one of the MOST important things in life. Oh yeah, I love Mandi.

There are many many more things about me that you could know, but I think that's good for now.

(This was not written nor endorsed by Kevin, merely written by his wife who thinks he truly is not only the MOST attractive man on the planet, but also the nicest and best husband in the whole universe.)

Yay, this was fun to read... with us girls only getting together once a month, its nice to read about Kevin, cuz I don't know much about him. Good luck with the mosaic... though it's time consuming, I bet he'll be so proud of it in the end!
