Mansfield Park by Jane AustenMy rating: 2 of 5 stars
It took me about 180 pages to get into, and once I did I still felt it drawn out. But I generally like the qualities of the characters in Jane Austen's books and her points that she makes, so it was good in that sense. But overall, it was just an ok read, nothing to shout about.

Wow - I'm impressed you can stay with a book that takes 180 pages to get into! If I'm not hooked by the first 10, it's gone.
I felt the same way!! It took me awhile to get in to, and finally I just wanted to know how it wrapped up so I kept going. The heroine Fanny Price is just hard to root for, she's just kind of a pathetic soul, poor girl! You just feel extremely sorry for her the whole time, but not much else.
