My brother-in-law Matt made a last minute decision (literally the night before) to make the trip down to Lake Yuba for a Triathlon. So after our Adult Stake Conference Meeting last night (yes, isn't it great that we are so close we can be in the same stake) we went out for Smoothies and got to hear his Triathlon Tale.
There is no way that I can give the story it's proper telling, you have to know that Matt is fantastic at telling stories and all the right details to give the story juuuuuust the right affect. But I can tell you that it included Matt almost getting into the boat when not even half way through the swim but didn't because there were other people behind him that would see him; running up the hill to pass a man more 'sturdy' then himself to swipe his chip so that his time would be better even though he got out of the lake after him; wobbly transitions; flying bikes; his attempted walk/run and the FINISH LINE!! We are so glad that he made it to the end, and he wasn't even the last one.
Apparently Matt doesn't recommend using the elliptical daily as triathlon training:)
We look forward to Matt forgetting how 'awful' it was in a year so that he can do another one and we can hear another Triathlon Tale.
Maybe this counts Matt?? Carrying Big Red in this wrap ;)
